Stannis Baratheon grew up in Robert's shadow and learned endurance during the siege of Storm's End, where Davos Seaworth's smuggled food helped his garrison survive. Rewarded with Dragonstone after the rebellion but passed over for the richer Storm's End, Stannis carried that grievance into royal service. His article follows the stern commander, law minded claimant, and councilor whose sense of duty never softens into popularity.
