The drum is a musical instrument of the percussion group. A musician who plays the drum is called a drummer.[1]

Usage
Drums are used to assemble an army into formation,[1] to give a command,[2] and to help set a marching pace.[3][4] Oarmasters on ships use drums to set a rhythm for oarsmen to follow.[5][6][7]
Culture
A round tower that has a longer diameter length than height is called a "drum tower" due to its shape ressembling the instrument. Drum towers can be found throughout Westeros such as the Red Keep,[8] Storm's End,[9] the First Keep of Winterfell,[10] or the Dun Fort.[11]

Drums are used at the wedding of Daenerys Targaryen and Khal Drogo.[12]

Lord Balon Greyjoy hosts his captains in a feast in the Great Keep of Pyke where music is played by fiddles, skins and drums.[13]
