History
The Brothers Brune were legendary champions that brought peace to Crackclaw Point.[2]
Bernarr Brune was squire to Lord Alyn Stokeworth, the Hand of the King to King Aegon I and Aenys I Targaryen. When Lord Alyn was slain by the rebel Harren the Red, Bernarr avenged him and cut down the outlaw. He was rewarded with knighthood. Bernarr was later one of the champions in Maegor I Targaryen's trial of seven.[4][5]
During the Dance of the Dragons, the Brunes declared for Rhaenyra Targaryen. Brune forces joined Lord Walys Mooton to liberate Rook's Rest from the control of Aegon II Targaryen's greens.[6]
Brunes were with Prince Rhaegar Targaryen at the Battle of the Trident during Robert's Rebellion.[2]
