Bandallon is the seat of House Blackbar in the Reach. It is located on the shores of the Sunset Sea,[1] west of Brightwater Keep, northwest of Oldtown, and southwest of the Shield Islands.[2]
History
After the election of Septon Alfyn to the seat of High Septon, King Jaehaerys I Targaryen visited Bandallon, Three Towers, Uplands, and Honeyholt while awaiting the arrival of the ailing Alfyn to Oldtown.[3]
In 89 AC, King Jaehaerys I stopped at Bandallon during one of his progress around the Reach. As Jaehaerys was estranged from his sister-wife, Queen Alysanne Targaryen, at the time, Lord Blackbar's youngest daughter boldly tried to seduce the king. Jaehaerys refused her advances, however.[4]
While sailing against Lord Dalton Greyjoy in the westerlands in 133 AC, Lord Alyn Velaryon's fleet passed Bandallon.[5]
