The main gates are the primary gates of Winterfell, seat of House Stark in the north. An arched gate is found between two huge bulwarks at the gatehouse.[1] The massive gates are made of oak and iron,[2] and the main gate has a portcullis.[3] A drawbridge passes between the castle's inner and outer walls, with the winter town nearby.[4]
