The Reach and the location of Three Towers

Three Towers is the seat of House Costayne in the Reach. It sits on a cliff on the southern shore of Whispering Sound, almost where the sound meets the Redwyne Straits.[1]

History

After Jaehaerys I Targaryen ascended the Iron Throne in 48 AC, Elinor Costayne, a widow of the late King Maegor I Targaryen, returned to her father's seat at Three Towers.[2] In 54 AC, Jaehaerys and Queen Alysanne Targaryen traveled to Oldtown after the death of the High Septon. While awaiting the arrival of Alfyn, the king visited Bandallon, Three Towers, Uplands, Honeyholt, and the Arbor.[3]

Three Towers declared for Rhaenyra Targaryen during the Dance of the Dragons, but Lord Owen Costayne was slain in the Battle on the Honeywine.[4]
