Evenfall Hall, or simply Evenfall, is the seat of House Tarth in the stormlands.[1] It is located on the western coast of the island of Tarth along Shipbreaker Bay.[2][3]
History
[edit]King Aegon I Targaryen visited Evenfall Hall during his royal progresses.[4]
Brienne of Tarth was born to Lord Selwyn Tarth in Evenfall Hall.[5] Cortnay Penrose knew Brienne when she was no more than a girl playing at her father’s feet in Evenfall Hall.[6]
Brienne was trained by Ser Goodwin, master-at-arms of the castle,[7] and she has learned many songs by heart since Evenfall Hall always had singers in her youth.[8] She also recalls seeing a shield bearing Duncan's personal arms in the armory at Evenfall Hall,[7] suggesting that the castle was perhaps visited by Ser Duncan the Tall, a former Lord Commander of the Kingsguard during the reign of King Aegon V Targaryen.
