The wedding of Tyrek Lannister and Ermesande Hayford occurs in 299 AC during the War of the Five Kings. Tyrek Lannister marries Ermesande Hayford in King's Landing.

Prelude

The thirteen-year-old[1] Tyrek Lannister, once a squire of King Robert I Baratheon, is betrothed to Ermesande Hayford, the infant Lady of Hayford, so that House Lannister can claim her lands.[2]

When hungry smallfolk hear about preparations for the wedding feast, they gather at the gates of the Red Keep to demand food. King Joffrey I Baratheon leads a sortie of Kingsguard and red cloaks which disperses the crowd.[3]

Wedding

Tyrek wears a bridegroom's mantle of miniver and velvet for the wedding.[4]

Aftermath

Tyrek is mocked as "Wet Nurse" by other squires for having married Ermesande.[4][5] Tyrek goes missing during the riots in King's Landing.[5]

Quotes

Since his marriage to little Lady Ermesande three days past, the other squires had taken to calling him "Wet Nurse" and asking him what sort of swaddling clothes his bride wore on their wedding night.[4]

The lady of the castle was a Lannister by marriage, a plump toddler who had been wed to his cousin Tyrek before she was a year old.[6]
