A Clash of Kings

The Bettley colors are spotted by Arya Stark among Tywin Lannister's army as it leaves Harrenhal.[1]

A Feast for Crows

One of the guardsmen at the gates of Maidenpool wears the blue beetle of House Bettley when Brienne of Tarth arrives at the town.[3]

The banner of House Bettley is seen among those that escort the corpse of Lord Tywin Lannister back to Casterly Rock. Afterward, Ser Jaime Lannister spots Ser Jon Bettley riding at a quintain in the yard of the Red Keep.[4]

Beardless Jon is part of the force that marches north from King's Landing to end the siege of Riverrun. After the fall of Riverrun, Jon sets off with Ser Lyle Crakehall to hunt outlaws near Darry.[4]

Brienne of Tarth and her companions see the corpses of the perpetrators of the raid on Saltpans hanged from trees. Among the dead is a man with a bettles badge sewn on his breast, presumably a Bettley man-at-arms who became a broken man during the War of the Five Kings.[5]
