House Cuy of Sunhouse is a noble house from Sunhouse[2] in the Reach, sworn to the Hightowers. Sunhouse is located by the town Cuy, along the coast southeast of Oldtown.[3]
Neither their arms or their words appear in the text. According to semi-canon sources they blazon their shield as six yellow flowers on blue.[4]

History
The Cuys trace their ancestry back to Andal adventurers given lands and wives by the Three Sage Kings of House Gardener during the coming of the Andals to the Reach.[5]
Ser Duncan the Tall spotted a blue pavilion covered with sunflowers, possibly a use of the colors and sigil of House Cuy, while attending the Whitewalls tourney.[6]
Recent Events
A Clash of Kings
House Cuy supports Renly Baratheon in the War of the Five Kings.[7] Ser Emmon Cuy is chosen for Renly's Rainbow Guard, being known as Ser Emmon the Yellow afterwards. Emmon, Ser Robar Royce, and a third guard are slain by Ser Loras Tyrell in a fit of rage after the death of Renly.[8]

The known Cuys during the timespan of the events described in A Song of Ice and Fire are:
- Lord Branston Cuy, Lord of Sunflower Hall.[1]
With unspecified familiar relationship with the lord of the house there is also:
- Ser {Emmon Cuy}, a reputed knight known as Emmon the Yellow. Slain by Loras Tyrell.[8]
