Stonedance is the seat of House Massey in the crownlands. It is located on the eastern shore of Massey's Hook along the narrow sea, south of Sharp Point.[1]
History
Stonedance was founded by Lord Maldon Massey during the reign of the Storm King Durran the Ravenfriend.[2]
Stonedance was the seat of Massey kings after they rebelled against the Durrandons. The Storm King Qarlton the Conqueror captured Stonedance after a year-long siege, during which King Josua Massey was killed. The Andal warlord Togarion Bar Emmon expelled Qarlton's men from Stonedance and established his own kingdom on Massey's Hook, but the region was eventually recovered by the stormlands.[3]
Although sworn to King Argilac the Arrogant of Storm's End, Lord Triston Massey had stronger ties to Lord Aegon Targaryen of Dragonstone, and the Masseys supported the Targaryens during Aegon's War of Conquest.[4] The castle became part of the newly-created crownlands owing allegiance to the Targaryens of King's Landing.

Ser Justin Massey, a knight of King Stannis Baratheon, seeks lands in the North since Stonedance is lost to him.[5]
