Lollys Stokeworth is the youngest daughter of Lady Tanda Stokeworth of Stokeworth. She has an elder sister, Falyse.
In the television adaptation Game of Thrones, Lollys is portrayed by Elizabeth Cadwallader.
Appearance and Character
[edit]Lollys is obese[3][4] and has brown eyes.[5] She is known to be "soft of wits"[6] or "weak of wit".[7][8] Others consider her simple,[4][9] placid and dull,[10] timid and trusting.[11] Tyrion Lannister thinks of Lollys as "dim-witted",[4][12] and Cersei Lannister considers her to be a "bovine lackwit"[11] and a "feeble-witted sow".[13] Lollys was still a maiden at the age of thirty-three.[4]
Recent Events

[edit]Lord Petyr Baelish often dines with Lady Tanda Stokeworth, who hopes he will marry her younger daughter Lollys.[14][3] The food is always excellent, including roast suckling pig, which Littlefinger tells the King's Hand, Lord Eddard Stark, he would rather marry than Lollys.[14]
A Clash of Kings
[edit]Lady Tanda and her daughters, Falyse and Lollys, are at the court of King Joffrey I Baratheon after the beginning of the War of the Five Kings. The Stokeworths attend the tourney on King Joffrey's name day at the Red Keep.[10]
Lady Tanda now believes that Tyrion Lannister would be the perfect husband for Lollys, so she accosts him night and day.[15][4]
Lollys is part of the court's procession to the docks of King's Landing to see Princess Myrcella Baratheon off to Dorne. When the mob goes mad and the riots in King's Landing begin, Lollys is pulled from her horse and raped by "half a hundred" men behind a tanner's shop. She is later found by the gold cloaks, wandering naked on the street of Sowbelly Row.[16]
Due to the riot and the impending arrival of Stannis Baratheon's fleet, Tyrion feels that his secret mistress, Shae, is not safe in the manse near the Iron Gate where he had placed her. Varys tells Tyrion that Lollys's bedmaid has been stealing her jewelry, and suggests that if he informs Lady Tanda, she will dismiss her immediately, and Shae can take her place. Varys says that since Lollys is afraid to leave her chambers since being raped, this will keep Shae out of sight. Tyrion agrees, as he knows Queen Regent Cersei Lannister dislikes the Stokeworths and thus is unlikely to discover Shae.[11]
In the godswood of the Red Keep, Sansa Stark complains to Dontos Hollard that Queen Cersei and King Joffrey think she is stupid. He says to let them believe so, as she is safer that way, giving the example that no one ever spies on Lollys. Later that evening, on the roof of Maegor's Holdfast, Sansa encounters Sandor Clegane, who had saved her from the mob during the riot. She argues with the Hound about the upcoming battle and whether he fears death and the judgement of the gods; Sandor derides their existence, asking Sansa what kind of god would make someone like Lollys.[17]
Shae is unhappy as Lollys's maidservant. She says all Lollys does is sleep and eat, and that Shae has to clean her when she gets food on herself. She is dismissive of Lollys's gangrape as a reason for her behavior. Tyrion says that Lady Tanda says Lollys is ill, but Shae says Lollys is pregnant.[18]
When the Battle of the Blackwater begins, the noble ladies of King's Landing are invited by Queen Cersei to stay in Maegor's Holdfast for their safety. Tanda and Falyse try to coax Lollys to cross the drawbridge, but she is frightened, and struggles with them and her maidservant. Sansa speaks gently to Lollys, encouraging her to enter the safety of the holdfast, but Lollys still resists. Eventually, Falyse and Shae manhandle Lollys across the bridge, and Tanda excuses her behavior to Sansa, saying she has been sick. However, Sansa is aware of the common gossip that Lollys is pregnant from her rape.[5]
When the feast is served in the Queen's Ballroom, Lollys eats too quickly and vomits on herself and Falyse. After the meal, Lady Stokeworth and her daughters are among those given leave by Cersei to go to the royal sept to pray.[19]
After the battle is won, Lady Tanda, Falyse, and Lollys attend the celebratory court session in the Red Keep's throne room. Sansa believes they look pretty in their matching gowns of turquoise silk and vair.[20]
A Storm of Swords
[edit]Lollys is great with child. Shae meets Tyrion Lannister for a sexual encounter, but cannot stay long as Lollys may wake and call for her. Shae tells Tyrion that Lady Tanda Stokeworth has hired the singer Symon Silver Tongue to play for Lollys, to help calm her when her baby kicks. Shae also informs Tyrion that Lollys will not be attending King Joffrey's upcoming wedding to Margaery Tyrell, as she is too frightened.[21]
When Lord Tywin Lannister tells Tyrion he must marry Sansa Stark, Tyrion is reluctant. Tywin tells him if he will not marry Sansa, he still must marry a noblewoman, and that Tanda has offered Lollys. Tyrion is horrified by the suggestion.[22]
Along with her mother and sister, Lollys attends the wedding of Tyrion Lannister and Sansa Stark. She cries during the ceremony.[23] Tyrion has Shae transferred from being Lollys's maidservant to Sansa's. Shae tells Tyrion that Lady Tanda gives Lollys dreamwine to help her sleep, and that they could give a cup to Sansa and have sex in the bed next to her without her waking.[24]
Tyrion is arrested for the murder of King Joffrey I Baratheon at his wedding to Margaery. In his tower cell, Tyrion summons his sellsword friend, Ser Bronn of the Blackwater, in case he needs him as a champion against Ser Gregor Clegane in a potential trial by combat. Cersei has arranged for Bronn to marry Lollys, however. Even though Lollys is lackwitted and pregnant with another man's bastard child, Bronn is willing to wed her for the chance of acquiring Stokeworth. As Tyrion cannot match Cersei's offer of a highborn wife and a castle, he says farewell to Bronn.[12]
Petyr Baelish tells Sansa Stark that he convinced Ser Loras Tyrell to join the Kingsguard to protect his sister, Queen Margaery, by having his men spread tales among the Tyrell servants, about how the mob had killed Ser Preston Greenfield and raped Lollys.[25]
A Feast for Crows
[edit]During the funeral of Lord Tywin Lannister, Lollys is in labor, so she and her mother remain at Stokeworth. Falyse tells Queen Cersei that Lady Tanda asked if they could name the baby Tywin, but Cersei forbids it, indignant at the insult to her father.[26]
When Lollys's son is born, strong and healthy, Ser Bronn of the Blackwater names him Tyrion Tanner. Ser Jaime Lannister finds this amusing, but Cersei is displeased by Bronn's insolence.[13] She tells Lady Falyse and her husband, Ser Balman Byrch, that the name of Lollys's son may mean that Bronn is hiding knowledge of Tyrion Lannister's whereabouts[27] (though she later thinks that she does not truly believe this),[9] and conspires with them to kill Bronn.[27] However, the plan backfires, and Bronn kills Balman and exiles Falyse from Stokeworth; not even letting her take her gowns, saying they belong to Lollys. When Falyse flees to Cersei in terror for her life, Cersei gives her to Qyburn for his experiments in the black cells, to make her disappear and cover up the conspiracy.[9]
After the death of Lady Tanda from a chill brought on by a broken hip, Lollys becomes the Lady of Stokeworth, with her husband Bronn calling himself Lord Stokeworth. Cersei is uncomfortable with Bronn ruling so close to King's Landing, and notes to Qyburn that since his power only comes from Lollys, perhaps they could produce her elder sister, Falyse. However, Qyburn tells her that Falyse is no longer able able to feed herself, much less rule.[28]
A Dance with Dragons
[edit]Falyse eventually dies in the black cells.[8]
Before Cersei begins her walk of atonement, she fears the commonfolk of King's Landing might attack and rape her as they did Lollys, even though the High Septon has promised she will be protected and that no one will be allowed to touch her.[29]
