House Wode is a noble house of landed knights sworn to House Whent of Harrenhal in the riverlands. Their lands lie close to the border with the crownlands; Sow's Horn is nearby.[1] According to semi-canon sources the Wodes blazon their arms with three white hedgehogs on yellow.[2] Their motto is "Touch Me Not".[3]
History
[edit]In 130 AC during the Dance of the Dragons, the vanguard of Ser Criston Cole defeated Ser Oswald Wode and Lords Darry and Roote along the Gods Eye while marching toward Harrenhal.[4]
Recent Events
[edit]A Game of Thrones
[edit]Ser Willis Wode aids Lady Catelyn Stark and Ser Rodrik Cassel at the inn at the crossroads when she captures Tyrion Lannister.[5] The knight battles clansmen during the journey through the Mountains of the Moon,[5] and he and Rodrik have their wounds treated by a septon at the Bloody Gate while Catelyn continues on to the Gates of the Moon with Tyrion.[6] Willis and Rodrik travel to the Eyrie when they are able.[7]
