House Chester of Greenshield rules over Greenshield, one of the Shield Islands of the Reach.

According to semi-canon sources they blazon their arms with a green hand on a gold escutcheon on a green field, a border of red rayonne.[2] Their words do not appear in the books.

History

The Shield Islands are a considerable naval power and were the first line of defense during the days when the ironborn pirates tried to sail up the Mander to sack the wealth of the Reach.[1]

In 89 AC, King Jaehaerys I Targaryen approved of his granddaughter's, Princess Rhaenys Targaryen, choice to marry Lord Corlys Velaryon while being the host of Lord Chester in Greenshield.[3]
