House Willum is a noble house from the Reach. According to semi-canon sources, they blazon their shields with three silver longswords crossed on black beneath a dragonbone skeleton on a white chief. The song "When Willum's Wife Was Wet" may be a reference to this house.
Members of House Willum may have taken the black in the past, as Jon Snow sees longswords among the heraldic charges adorning the Shieldhall walls at Castle Black.
A Clash of Kings
House Willum declares for Renly Baratheon in the War of the Five Kings. Josua and Elyas Willum, sons of Lord Willum, attend the feast at Bitterbridge. The house joins Stannis Baratheon after Renly's death. Lord Willum, Josua and Elyas are captured during the Battle of the Blackwater and bend the knee to King Joffrey I Baratheon.
House Willum at the end of the third century
The known Willums during the timespan of the events described in A Song of Ice and Fire are:
- Lord Willum, the head of the house.
- Josua Willum, his son.
- Elyas Willum, his son.
