Barrow Hall is a castle in the town of Barrowton in the north. It is the residence of House Dustin. The keep of House Stout near Barrowton's eastern gates is less than a mile away.
Layout
Built on the hill Great Barrow,[1] Barrow Hall has wooden walls and square towers. There is an old windmill and a grassy courtyard located near the gatehouse. Wide and wooden stairs lead up the hill to Barrow Hall's keep.[2]
Recent Events
A Dance with Dragons
Ramsay Bolton is upset that a feast is held for him by Harwood Stout at Goldgrass instead of Lady Barbrey Dustin at Barrow Hall, as Barbrey has banned Ramsay from her castle.[2]
Lord Roose Bolton, who has called the northern bannermen to Barrowton, rides through the town to Barrow Hall with Theon Greyjoy. Flapping in the wind above its towers are the banners of Houses Bolton, Cerwyn, Tallhart, Manderly, Locke, Umber, Flint, Hornwood, Stout, and Slate, in addition to four different Ryswell banners. Above the northern banners is that of House Baratheon of King's Landing.[2]
Once they reach the keep of Barrow Hall Theon sees the arms of House Dustin and the quartered arms of Lady Barbrey, whom Theon meets before the keep's hearth.[2]
