Floris Baratheon was the daughter of Lord Borros Baratheon of Storm's End who lived during the Dance of the Dragons[3] and the reign of King Aegon III Targaryen.[1] She and her sisters were known as the Four Storms.[1]

Appearance and Character

Floris widely considered to be the prettiest of the Four Storms.[3][1] She was a sweet girl, if somewhat frivolous.[1]

History

Floris was the daughter of Lord Borros Baratheon of Storm's End and his wife, Lady Elenda. She had three sisters: Cassandra, Ellyn, and Maris.[3] A brother, Lord Olyver, would be born after her father's death.[4] According to Lord Borros, his daughters sometimes fought with each other, but he saw to it that they always made peace afterward.[3]

At the start of the Dance of the Dragons, Prince Aemond Targaryen arrived at Storm's End. Lord Borros offered the hand of any of his daughters, noting that Floris was the prettiest. Prince Aemond agreed to a betrothal, though the identity of the daughter is not known, save it was not Maris. The lord and prince were haggling over dates and dowries the morning Prince Lucerys arrived, who claimed he could not marry Floris or any of her sisters due to his betrothal to Rhaena Targaryen, and was sent away by Lord Borros.[3]

Later, in return for the support of Ser Perkin the Flea and the stormlords in restoring King Aegon II to the Iron Throne, Floris was betrothed to Lord Larys Strong of Harrenhal.[4] However, Lord Strong was instead executed by Lord Cregan Stark at the end of the war.[5]

Lady Elenda sent Cassandra, Ellyn, and Floris to represent House Baratheon at the coronation of Aegon III Targaryen and his wedding to Princess Jaehaera.[1]

After Lady Baela Targaryen rebuffed Lord Thaddeus Rowan's proposal of marriage, he was betrothed to the fourteen-year-old Floris in 132 AC, appeasing his wounded pride.[1] She died two years later, in 134 AC, during childbirth,[1] leaving her husband in a black state.[6]
