The hidden village is a treetop village near the Hayford road in the riverlands. The villagers are led by the Lady of the Leaves.[1]
Layout
[edit]The village is located within the upper branches of a yellow forest three days away from Lord Lychester's keep and a day away from Sallydance. Its little moss-covered houses are linked by a maze of rope walkways, and the villagers can unroll rope ladders to reach the ground. The red and gold leaves of the deciduous trees shield the village from view, but the villagers must abandon their home before winter as the leaves will shed.[1]

[edit]A group from the brotherhood without banners visits the hidden village during their search for Lord Beric Dondarrion and speak with the village's leader, the Lady of the Leaves. The woman says that a dozen "wolves"[N 1] went hunting along the Hayford road nine days ago, and the villagers were fortunate not to have been seen. The villagers will have to leave soon with the arrival of autumn.[1]
