Year 106 After the Conquest (106 AC) is a year in the Westerosi calendar, the 106th after Aegon's crowning in Oldtown that maesters and educated people use as a reference to date the years.
In 106 AC King Viserys married again, choosing his Hand's daughter, Alicent Hightower. This alienated both Prince Daemon and Lord Corlys Velaryon, who shunned the wedding and tried to carve out their own kingdom by initiating an invasion of the Stepstones.[1]
