Raynard Ruskyn was a knight from House Ruskyn. He became Lord Commander of the Kingsguard during the reign of King Aegon III Targaryen.[1]
History
By 135 AC, Ser Raynard was a sworn brother of the Kingsguard. At the beginning of the king's defiance of the attempted coup against the Rogare family and Hand of the King, Lord Thaddeus Rowan, Ruskyn was imprisoned in Maegor's Holdfast after being overwhelmed and wounded by Larra Rogare's Lyseni guards.[1]
In the aftermath of the coup, Raynard was released from captivity and Ser Marston Waters, the Lord Commander of the Kingsguard, was mortally wounded when he confronted Ser Mervyn Flowers, a fellow Kingsguard and one of the conspirators.
