Ser Jaime Lannister, newly Lord Commander, looks at the seat of the Lord Commander of the Kingsguard in the Round Room and wonders how he, the Kingslayer, could belong in the company of Lords Commander past, including Alyn Connington.[1]
A Feast for Crows
Jaime speaks with Ser Loras Tyrell and tells him that he would do well to learn about the Kingsguard that came before them. Alyn Connington is among those he expects Loras to have already heard of.[2]
