  • Lord Gulian Swann: Lord of Stonehelm. A mature man.
    • Ser Donnel Swann: His son and heir.
    • Ser Balon Swann: His secondborn. A skilled knight.

With unspecified familiar relationshp to the main branch there are also:

  • Cyrenna Frey: Second wife to Old Walder Frey. Mother to two Freys. Died from a wasting illness.

  • Balon Swann was one of the outstanding knights on the Tourney of the Hand.
  • Ser Balon Swann defeated Alyn during the Tourney of the Hand, but later he fell to Ser Gregor Clegane.
  • Ser Balon Swann was among the three finalists at the archery competition of the Tourney of the Hand, losing to a commoner from the Dornish Marshes named Anguy.
  • Ser Balon Swann was among the party that acompanied King Robert to hunt, but he returned to King's Landing before his hunting accident with the boar.
  • Ser Balon Swann considers Ser Balon Swann as a potential ally to depose the Lannisters from power after Robert's death.
  • After the downfall of Eddard Stark, Sansa sees Ser Balon Swann whispering to some words to drunken Ser Dontos, possibly recomending him to refrain from hailing her.
  • During the War of the Five Kings, Guilian Swann tries to have on foot on each camp: while he claims to be ill and remains neutral, his firstborn rides with Renly and Ser Balon Swann is loyal to King Joffrey.
  • Guilian Swann was one of the few stormlords that agreed to receive Davos Seaworth, and even borke bread with him. He didn't attend Stannis demands, however.
