Vala is a Ghiscari prostitute living in Meereen. She is an informant for the Sons of the Harpy. This character is created specifically for the TV show and is only indirectly mentioned and unnamed in the books.

Season Five

White Rat pays Vala for non-sexual intimacy. While the Unsullied soldier is distracted, one of the Sons of the Harpy slits his throat.[1] Later, she aids in setting a trap for an Unsullied patrol, leading to the death of Barristan Selmy.[2]

Season Six

In the Great Pyramid, Vala is brought before Varys, who interrogates her for information on the Sons of the Harpy. Varys then calmly threatens to have her killed if she does not give information and leave for Pentos with her young son Dom. Fearing for the well-being of her son, she tells him that the Sons of the Harpy are being funded by Astapor, Yunkai, and Volantis, and leaves for Pentos with a large bag of silver.[3]
