After a white hart is sighted in the kingswood, a royal hunt is organized, with King Robert I Baratheon being accompanied by Lord Renly Baratheon, Ser Barristan Selmy, Prince Joffrey Baratheon, Sandor Clegane, Ser Balon Swann, and half the court.[3] Wolves get to the white hart first, however, which angers Robert. The king then ventures deeper into the kingswood after hearing word of a monstrous boar.[4]
